Ashley Keltner, Director of Volunteers, for I Have A Dream – Boulder County, introduced Tyler Works, the new AmeriCorps Vista, through Weld County United Way, who will be supporting the I have a Dream Program. Aurora Santos, Program Director for the Carbon Valley Class, reviewed the activities of the Carbon Valley I Have a dream Class. Interested community members attended and listened while Ashley shared
Vision Statement: To build and expand the reach of “ I Have a Dream” and our Dreamer classes by increasing awareness of our program and community volunteer involvement in Carbon Valley.
Mission Statement: We will do this by participating in existing Carbon Valley community events, tapping into communication outlets throughout the community and presenting to local civic groups, businesses, community organizations, religious groups, etc.
Goal: Conduct outreach and volunteer recruitment to successfully support the Carbon Valley Dreamers in the Fall, Spring, and Summer programs. Recruit mentors who will be matched, one -on- one, with Carbon Valley Dreamers after the program has been established for one year.
